  3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE FACULTY
The Faculty of Management and International Economic Relations provides training of more than 550 students in two majors:
    • Global Economy
    • Management
The Faculty staff is 40 lecturers, including 4 full professors and 20 Candidates of Arts and Science. International relations are an essential part of the Faculty's activities. The Faculty has established good cooperation with the universities of Wisconsin and Nebraska, USA, and with the commercial schools of Lion and Pau, France. Students of the Faculty take courses at the universities of USA, France, and Germany. Research and development include management in micro- and macroeconomics, in international business and foreign investment.

The Department of Management provides training in corporate and industrial management. Task-based courses in investment and strategic industrial management add value to the training process.

The Department of Organization and Management of External Economic Activity provides in-depth approach to the fundamentals of international business and foreign trade.

The Department of Global Economy and Global Market provides a strong focus on the global business geography, international investment and currency and other aspects of international business.

The Department of Business Foreign Languages is the first in the Ural region. Qualified teachers hold degrees of Candidate of Arts (5) and MA in English from the University of Las Cruses, USA (1). Students get extensive training in English, French and German.

The Faculty conducts research in the following fields:

    • Management in Micro- and Macroeconomics
    • Management of International Economic Activity
    • Foreign Investment
